The city of Jaipur was painted pink for the grand welcome of Prince Edward of Wales under the rule of Sawai Ram Singh. Jaipur city was painted pink, a color traditionally associated with hospitality. For the grand welcome of the Prince, many of the avenues remained painted in pink, giving Jaipur a distinctive appearance and the epithet Pink city.

The Jawahar circle is claimed to be the biggest circular park in India. Jawahar Circle is claimed by Locals to be the biggest circular park in Asia developed on a highway traffic circle. The world's largest free literary festival takes place in Jaipur that is commenced in 2006, the Jaipur lit fest is the world's largest free literary festival, which is attended by people from all over the world. From writers to filmmakers, lyricists to novelists, from Nobel laureates to local language writers, it witnesses thousands of artists from several countries. Every January, the most remarkable, witty, sensitive, and brilliant collection of authors from South Asia and across the world come together for five days of readings, debates, and discussions at the beautiful hotel diggi palace in the Rajasthani capital.

The mystery behind Jaigarh Fort. This striking construction stands at the top of the Aravalli ranges with several interesting features. Mostly known as the Fort of Victory. It houses the world's largest cannon on the wheels called 'Jaivana Cannon'. The fort never witnessed any major resistance, and only test-fired the world's largest cannon, once!

Back in the 1700s, the Maharaja built five huge observatories throughout India. One of these, the Jantar Mantar in Jaipur, is now UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses a large collection of astronomical instruments and the world's largest sundial.

Hawa Mahal is the tallest building in the world without foundation. HAWA MAHAL is renowned for its rich cultural and architectural history. This beautiful structure is predominantly a high screen wall made of pink and red sandstone. This five-storey building in the shape of a crown of Lord Krishna with 953 jharokhas or windows. These jharokhas were built in such a manner that air circulates naturally through them, creating a Venturi effect (doctor breeze), thus air conditioning the entire structure during the hot summers

The Satsang Bhavan at Govind Dev Ji Temple holds the record for the world's widest RCC flat roof construction with a single span of 119 feet. The hall was opened public in July 2009, the same year when it entered the Guinness world records.
